RYA Powerboat Level 1
This practical one day course is best considered a 'taster' session in power boating. The course includes launch / recovery and safety equipment. This course is popular with children or those perhaps that want to crew rather than helm a powerboat.

RYA Powerboat Level 2
This practical introduction to powerboating will provide you with the basic skills necessary to operate a powerboat safely and confidently in coastal waters. With Active Powerboat Training, you will complete the course on the sea, in a tidal environment, with all of the challenges and associated learning experiences that brings.
You will begin by developing your low speed close quarter boat handling skills before being introduced to driving at planing speed. You will also cover basic engine maintenance, chart work, collision regulations, tides and weather.
NB No experience is necessary for this course and you do not have to have been on the RYA Powerboat Level 1 to attend.
Course duration -2 days from 9.30am to 4.30pm approx.
ICC - Completion of this course will allow you to apply for a coastal ICC for Power up to 10m. For more information about how to apply for an ICC please visit the RYA

RYA First Aid
Our one-day course covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or on cross channel passages.
In a medical emergency a little first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations. This one-day course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers.

RYA Marine VHF Radio (SRC)
The RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the minimum qualification required to operate marine VHF radio equipment on a UK flagged vessel. This includes both fixed and handheld equipment with and without Digital Selective Calling (DSC). It is obtained by successfully completing an SRC exam.
Course duration - 9AM / 5.30PM (plus 3 hours pre course study)
Course price - £95 plus £60 for exam
